System: Bearclaw

[3060] In the aftermath of the Great Refusal, Clan Ghost Bear decided to relocate from Clan space to its holdings in the Inner Sphere. In order to do this they required the tacit support of the Snow Ravens, to covert the two unfinished Leviathan class WarShips into "ark ships."

In recompense, the Bears ceded much of their former territory to the Ravens, including the numerous asteroid mines in the Bearclaw system, and much of the planet itself. Clan Snow Raven now control greater than two thirds of the planet, whilst Clan Hell’s Horses control the remainder.

The aero-generator complex on Bearclaw, formerly Clan Ghost Bear’s capital and now managed by the Snow Ravens, is the largest in the known universe, covering 2500 square kilometers and containing almost forty thousand individual wind turbines. Located on the windy Narvik Peninsula, it supplies twenty power-storage complexes, which in turn supply the needs of the rest of the planet.
